• Zoomy Ebike is a kit that can turn your bicycle into a smart electric bicycle in minutes. It integrates battery, motor, and controller all in the wheel. It can be quickly installed on any bicycle. It can be connected to a mobile phone by Bluetooth. The wheel consists of a high-power motor, EV 18650 power Samsung lithium-ion battery, a CORTEX M3 processor, Taiwan BMS power management system, speed sensor, a 6-axis gyroscope and other equipment. Zoomy Wheel can be controlled by the APP(Android&IOS). 
• The functions of the APP include: displaying the riding data and records, anti-theft tracking, lost report, locking the motor and firmware upgrading. The APP is not necessary to be open when you are riding if you don’t want to see the speed and the other information of the wheel, the wheel can run without the APP. 
•  Zoomy Wheel has a variety of models, with cruising range from 15 to 100 miles. The assist system can provide proper power according to parameters such as the rider’s weight, riding speed, slope of the road, and assistance level that you set in the APP. 
• The assist system is independently developed and it is different from the other systems. It has 3 different ways to provide the power: automatic assist, cadence assist and throttle. There are 5 different assist modes under the automatic assist: Commute mode, Leisure mode, Exercise mode, Climbing mode and Manual mode. 
•  The kits do not have complicated external cables and switch. All the parameter is set in the APP. It is controlled by the APP or the wireless display. It’s extremely easy to install.

• Zoomy assist system is an intelligent assist system which can calculate out and provide the proper power based on the speed, acceleration, the slope of the road, and the assist level set in the APP or display. It will provide proper power automatically when you pedaling. The motor will not work until the speed reaches 3 mph. 
• It will increase the power when it senses the acceleration is positive and decrease the power when it is minus. The system will also increase the power when going uphill and shut down the motor when going downhill. And the kit can also be controlled by the optional wireless thumb throttle. When you push the throttle, the bike will be fully driven by electric power, but when you release it the assist system will kick in again automatically. The introduction of the 5 assist modes is as following:
   * Manual mode: The most often used mode. The users can set a proper assist grade from 0 to 99 for themselves. 0 stands for no assist while 99 stands for the strongest assist. Under the manual mode the user can use the optional wireless display to set the assist grade instead of using smart phone. After setting the assist grade, the wheel will assist automatically.
   * Commute mode: Under this mode, the wheel will have a relative strong assist power all the time. The output curve of the assist grade is as shown above. It is similar to a assist grade of 60% in the manual mode.
   * Leisure mode: The assist power output is as the curve above. It is a curve similar to damping ratio. Half an hour is a cycle. At the end of the cycle, the assist will become stronger.
   * Exercise mode: This mode has a small assist output. One cycle is also half an hour. After about 10 minutes, the assist power output will become stronger in the rest of the cycle.
   * Climbing mode: The wheel provides a certain assist grade only if the road is uphill that above a certain slope angle. The assist grade and the slope angle can be set in the APP. For example, when you set 2 degrees and 80 assist grade, the wheel can give you 80 assist grade when you are on the road with slope angle above 2 degrees.
  
   Note: Zoomy’s intelligent assist system can be upgraded by the APP. We will keep optimizing the algorithm and publish the new firmware.

• Zoomy smart assist system is a special assist system developed by Zoomy. The user sets a proper assist level or the assistance mode, and the kit will provide the corresponding power automatically according to different roads and different intent of the user. For example:
  1. Setting the assist level to 40%, which means that to maintain a certain speed, the motor will provide 40% of the power, and the rider needs to provide 60% of the power. When the ride decrease the pedaling man power, the system will ask the motor to slow down and the speed of the bike will be reduced accordingly; when the rider increases the pedaling man power, the system can immediately sense it, increase the assist power too, and increase the speed.
  2. If you want to ride easily, you can set the assist level to 90%, then you just need to pedal lightly; if you have enough physical strength, we can adjust the assist level to 30%, so that the motor provides less part of the power, the bike is mainly driven by man power.
• Why does the motor provide full power or no power no matter what assist grade I set? This problem is because the gyroscope is not calibrated correctly. You need to put the vehicle up straight on a level ground, and then calibrate the gyroscope through the app, so that the gyroscope can sense the right slope angle of uphill and downhill and provide correct output power.
  
   *Note: The wheel must be installed and fixed on the front forks. If the installation is not firm, the motor shaft will have relative rotation with the forks when braking or starting, which will affect the angle of the gyroscope.

• Zoomy ebike kits use high-quality high-speed brushless DC geared motor, small size, light weight, stable operation with a long life. The planetary gear and the clutch make no magnet resistance, and it is easy to pedal like a normal bike when running out of battery power. The motor is developed and designed by Zoomy Technology, and is produced by a professional motor manufacturer with a one-year warranty.

  *Note: The assist range are test under conditions: the rider weight 150 lb, the bike weight 40 lbs, even road without slope, no wind, speed 15 mph, assist grade 50%(set in the APP or the display), outdoor temperature 77 F, continuous riding without stop. Due to different factors such as riding mode, riding speed, load, temperature, wind speed, slope, road conditions and other factors, the actual range may be different.

• Zoomy ebike kits are super easy to install, because there are no external sensors at all. There is no cable or less cables than the other kits. 
• It is an intelligent assist ebike system. The assist system is based on the speed, acceleration, the slope of the road, and the assist level that you set in the APP or display, calculating out the power you need. It will assist you automatically when you pedaling. The motor will not work until the speed reaches 3 mph. When you brake, the system can sense the decrease of speed and reduce the power or shutdown the motor. And when you make a little bit more effort on pedaling, the system can sensor the increase of the speed and give you more power. The system will also increase the power when you go uphill and shut down the motor when go downhill. 
• The kit can also be controller by the optional thumb throttle. When you push the thumb throttle, the bike will be fully driven by electric power, but when you release it the assist system will kick in again automatically.

• The system will switch off the motor automatically when braking. The kit can sense the brake by various parameters such as acceleration, angular velocity, current, voltage, and riding speed. It can sense the brake and shut down the motor within 10ms (0.01 second).
• The system will not shut down the motor when you squeeze the brake slightly. It can sense the slight change of the speed, but it will not shut down the motor because it thinks that you just want to slow down a little bit. If you want to shut down the motor and slow down quickly, you need to squeeze the brake more deeply.

• The purpose of calibrating the gyroscope angle is to give the gyroscope a horizontal reference, telling the gyroscope that the current angle is level, so that the gyroscope can detect the slope. 
• If the gyroscope is calibrated on a downhill road, the gyroscope will regard the downhill road with a certain angle as a horizontal road, but when the bike is on a level road, the gyroscope will sense it as an uphill, in that case the motor will always provide assistance; 
• If the gyroscope is calibrated on an uphill road, the gyroscope will treat this uphill road as a horizontal road. And when the bike is on a level road, the system will shut down the motor because the gyroscope sense the level road as a downhill road by mistake.
  
  Therefore, you must calibrate the gyroscope on a level ground, otherwise there will be problem with the assist system.
